Traditional and Digital Media

People spend a lot of time consuming content, therefore, it’s important to engage residents where they are using both traditional and digital media with content in both English and Spanish.

Using traditional media allows the County to reach residents that prefer to receive news and information from traditional channels like newspapers.

Using a combination of paid and organic social media allows the County to reach residents that prefer to obtain news and information online, build awareness, and develop a community around beautifying Prince George’s County.

Video

Video content allows the County to take the “personification” theme of its beautification and anti-littering campaign a step further by showing litter and common illegally dumped waste in action. Imagine if litter could talk, what would they think of human behavior?

Litter is Sad

Common pieces of litter are sad because they are thrown out instead of being properly disposed of. They deliver messages about the importance of putting trash in its place and how it's everyone's responsibility to keep the County clean.

Trash is Annoying

Trash in your car is annoying, but it's even more annoying when it ends up on our County streets. A common movie snack delivers a message about properly disposing of trash, and how you can play a part in keeping our County clean.

PLASTIC BAGS BLOW

Two reusable bags have a conversation about the impact plastic bags have on the environment.

Put Trash in its Place

Discarded litter and illegally dumped materials share their thoughts about the impact of litter and illegal dumping on the County and the consequences of this behavior.

These videos are featured in movie theaters across Prince George’s County, on social media platforms like Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, and on cable and streaming platforms.
