Growing Green With Pride Fall
Prince George’s County will host a Countywide community cleanup program entitled "Growing Green with Pride." This event supports our Beautification Initiative to make our community cleaner by conducting individual community litter collection events, which demonstrates our shared commitment to keeping our communities appealing and attractive. Community organizations and groups are encouraged to participate.
Pick up Your Free Sandbags to Protect Your Home During Severe Weather Events
The Sandbag Program is being coordinated by the County’s Department of Public Works & Transportation (DPW&T) and Office of Homeland Security. Under the program, Prince George’s County residents will receive four sandbags, free of charge, on a one-time basis. Residents who live in unincorporated areas of the County will be able to pick up sandbags on Saturday, June 10, from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, at one of three distribution locations across the County. In the event of rain, the distribution will take place on Saturday, June 17. The three locations include:
DPW&T Ammendale Maintenance Facility – 11900 Montgomery Road, Beltsville, MD
DPW&T D’Arcy Road Maintenance Facility – 8401 D’Arcy Road, Forestville, MD
DPW&T Brandywine Maintenance Facility – 12911 Cherry Tree Crossing Road, Brandywine, MD
